Access to Montpellier

By plane

Montpellier Méditerranée airport is located only 8 km from the city centre. It is very easy to reach by direct flight:

  • 1h10 from Paris
  • 1h45 from London
  • 1h55 from Amsterdam

9 airlines operate direct flights to 15 international destinations and 8 destinations in France. It is also easily accessible from the airports of Marseille, Lyon, Toulouse, Beziers and Carcassonne.

By train

Montpellier has two train stations: Gare Montpellier Saint-Roch, located in the heart of the city, 200 metres from Place de la Comédie, and Gare Montpellier Sud de France, a TGV station outside the city.

TGV, Thalys, Talgo and Eurostar: no need to connect to the heart of Montpellier!

By car or bus

Montpellier is served by the A9/A709 and A75 motorways.

  • North exit (28): access to the Lunaret Zoo and its Amazonian Greenhouse, hospitals and universities.
  • East exit (29): access to the historic centre, the Montpellier Méditerranée Métropole Tourist Office, the Corum – Palais des Congrès, the new Millénaire districts, the Sud de France train station, the Zénith Sud, the Odysseum shopping centre, the Exhibition Centre and the Sud de France Arena.
  • South exit (31): access to Montpellier Saint-Roch station.
