MEDICINE PAST, PRESENT AND FUTURE

“When Montpellier is mentioned in other countries, people immediately think about medicine and healthcare”. This quote is from Jacques Bringer, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine in Montpellier, the oldest medical faculty in the western world that is still in activity. An historic heritage that the territory has drawn upon and nurtured over the centuries, towards becoming an international reference in the sector, as mirrored by the presence of the CNRS, the Eurobiomed competitive cluster and innovative start-ups such as Medtech, recognised internationally for its surgical robotics.
